I’ve had another great leisure class day today- Three very enthusiastic students, keen to transform their project and learn something new. Marion brought two delicate pin-seat chairs, Moira wanted to learn how to upholster a drop-in seat with traditional materials, and Elise brought a family heirloom rocking chair. Whilst the sun was shining, rain pouring down and wind howling, all three of them worked hard but had nice chats and fun too. I loved it!

As a career change was on foot, I decided to follow my passion for the creative arts and delved into upholstery. I never looked back again! Over the past several years, I have been trained by official training centres and practiced on anything I could get my hands on. Since July 2017 I am running my business from workshop premises in Dennistoun, Glasgow. I share this space with my colleague Frances from Hendron &Co Upholstery, so we can share experiences, work and each other's company. I love the variety of my work, working with beautiful fabrics, dealing with lovely customers, and the sense of pride when a piece of furniture has been completely transformed!
